Thought I was seeing things yesterday, starting about midday after the cloudiness went away everything seemed to have a yellow or orange tinge to it. Aparently it's from the smoke from Canadian wildfires dfrifting south.
Today there's a definate haze in the air, it's very noticeable.
Anyone else seeing this? I'm curious how far south this goes.

We have it here in NJ. I live in Ocean County, and the sunrise yesterday (Tues) was spectacular. Redish orange large ball coming up over the bay.
Today's was not even close. The smog/smoke is really heavy now at work (Edison) and it's getting to my eyes.
Add the smoke from a local fire in Jackson, to the reported 190 +/- fires in Quebec, have the wind blowing in the right direction, and this is what we get.
I heard on the radio that the 'smog' is all the way south to the Carolinas.

We have our own fires here, no need to import any of that Canadian smoke. Actually it just started the rainy season and things are going to be too wet to burn soon.

When superstorm Sandy hit, folks in hurricane country expressed amusement at all the fuss. This time, folks "out west" are entertained by the hysterical coverage of the East Coast smoke. A common refrain: welcome to our world.
The media needs to get out of New York more often.
I can't wait for the general legalization of marijuana. Imagine millions of acres afire, with the smoke descending on an urban center. Might even get the kids away from their game-boys and outside!

I've noticed it too. It's due to the Canadian wildfires. The haze seems widespread.
