Usually, the 'bottom of the barrel' stuff finds it's way to a dumpster.

Since I was 99% comm, staples were rare. Usual mix was wirenuts, tek screws, unused box clamps & machine screws, and straps.

Greg, you can post 200 mixed wirenuts on Craigs List for a few bucks.

Hey, I've got probably a dozen or more boxes that look like that. I admit it ... I'm a cheapskate at heart... or, maybe a Hoarder smile

I've got to start trimming down the stock....

I have them sorted red and yellow so I get a few bucks for 5 minutes work. I an certainly not making that anywhere else wink
OTOH if I bought these at Home Depot it is probably more like $15-20 and now I have a lifetime supply for the little bit of stuff I do these days.

Not only does that waste money but you have to figure in the time you spend buying stuff. I tell my guys not to waste stuff not only because of the money value but some stuff like screws and respirators etc I have to get at Home Depot and I really hate spending any of my little spare time at HD. They get to go home and spend time with their families while I get to go buy all the stuff they wasted and sort out the corners of the trucks where they tossed all their leftovers.
