Hello,

I'm working on a residential project (renovation) and we're replacing all corridor lighting. We need to comply with Title 24 and I'm a little confused about the lighting control requirements for this area? Do we have to add manual light switches -And- occupancy sensors?

Note: The corridor is part of the path of egress and the new lighting fixtures have integrated occupancy sensors.

Thanks in advance!

Everybody everywhere is confused by the various energy conservation codes since there is no single interpretation that everyone agrees on.

You should pose your question to the AHJ since he's the one who will eventually rule on your design.

Welcome to ECN forums.

As Ghost said, the local AHJ is a good first step.

Also, you may try a PM to Scott35 here, as he is a West Coast (Ca) guy, and may be a great help.
