Maybe some of the group know this but I thought I'd post it anyway. If you have an iPhone or iPad you can get the 2011 edition of the NEC for $12 at the app store. The hand book is quite another story. It cost $112 as I recall. The hand book work very nice on the iPad but not as nice on the iPhone due to the size of the screen.

Sorry Android people but it's only available for the iPhone and iPad.

It is strange NFPA would give them a deal like that.
I wonder what Apple did for NFPA?

I have the PDF '14 NEC from NFPA, as part of the '14 package of softbound, changes and PDF.

I asked Bill if he had it available, but only NFPA has the PDF.

I miss the handbook version that was previously available on CD/DVD, as also the regular NEC version. I guess the days of buying a 'hard version' of any electronic media are becoming as scarce as porcelin wire nuts.

They still use them in high temp appliances like ranges.

Are the PDF versions of the code searchable? I can find things quickly by looking in the book, but would like to be able to search for answers like I can with google.

Yes you can 'search'. It is not as fast as Google, but it works.
