Just be sure you buy the right fuse. Bussman should guide you. You probably want a quick blow. I know we used fuses to protect big Inverter/Converter power supplies and they spec'ed a special fuse that blew a lot faster than the regular NON and FRNs
I seem to remember they were FWP, white with red markings.

I have been thrashing this out lately. I got an answer from Saporita, Vince [Vince.Saporita@CooperIndustries.com]
who said that an external fuse is not a sure fix.
