I need to install some recessed can lights in a ceiling with 12" of blown in insulation above. I do mostly industrial wiring so am a little out of my element here. I know there have been some new products introduced in recent years and am wondering what most guys are using in this application now?

IC rated (Insulation Contact) required. Depending on your local/stste energy codes, you may also need 'air-tite' cans and matching trims, in the building envelope.

Halo H-9 type, and the knock-offs similar are what is used around here. 'H-9' is not the complete can number.
