I'm looking into upin' my knowledge on harmonics/power quality and how to address them that does not require me to have a slide ruler and a pocket protector. Sort of Harmonics for dummies type course. Any recommendations out there from personal experience?

Fluke has a few interesting CD/DVD on power quality. Check out their website, poke around. You may have to be an 'instructor' to qualify for 'free copies'.
If you have a problem with that, send me a PM or an email.

Yeah, I found that on their website and ordered their free disk. I also found a class done by AVO out of Texas. It's a 2.5 day class. Anyone took that course?

Nearly all of the well-known Switchgear and MCC Manufacturers have Power Quality plus Harmonic Distortion Instructional Documents available on-line... and for FREE!!! Check out websites for: Siemens, Square D, Eaton, Allen-Bradley, Bussman, etc. Also check out some of the Transformer Manufacturers for descriptions of "Triple-N" Harmonics and K-Ratings for Transformers. -- Scott (EE)
