I'm in Oklahoma City. Flew from Auckland via Sydney to L.A. Then per Amtrack train from L.A. California, Palm Springs, Arizona, New Mexico , Austin, Texas to Fort Worth. (beautifull towns) and Oklahoma. We start chasing tomorrow. The weather is too good for a lot of activity at the moment, so we see what happens. I got my two electricity meters from the hotel in perfect condition. I will post when I have acces to a computer Regards Raymond

Well, the front hit this weekend. Nearly a hundred tornadoes, most in the Oklahoma / Missouri / Kansas area.
Worst hit was Joplin, Mo, with 89 dead as of Monday morning. The twister - a mile-wide column-type - went right through the town (population 50K). Joplin has largely ceased to exist. News coverage is lacking, so far, because the town is a bit off the beaten path.
If the tour missed ALL of this weekends' tornadoes, I'd ask for a refund.

I had a friend who just moved to Miss. about 6 months ago. Luckily he is safe where he is staying.

Raymond seems to be right in the middle of the active zone. I was dubious that he would actually see one but it may work out for him. Be safe buddy!

Hi all, I'm still alive, and reporting from Denver CO. We were nearly all killed in Joplin where the EF 5 struck. Stuck in a traffic jam while the tornado was roaring less than 1/2 a mile behind us. We pondered about going for shelter at the home depot, but we decided to get out of town asap. The power went out and we managed to get through the traffic to the interstate. I have HD footage which will go on Youtube. some video's from the other group vans are already uploaded. Seen 11 tornadoes so far and travelled 5600 miles in 11 days. One rest day in Denver, perfect timing as the Denver Rock Festival is on with live music and heaps of activities in town. Denver is also a beautifull town with nice trees, buildings and parks. Off chasing again tomorrow towards Wyoming or Middle Nebraska. Depends upon tomorrows weather model. Will keep you all posted regards Raymond
