Hello!!

Could I use a Tray Cable (TC) certified CSA without the use of a cable tray in an industrial equipment?or I need to use another type of cable?

Thanks!

Table 19 shows TC cable as suitable for direct earth burial with protection if it's marked for that use (Table 19, Note 25).

If you run TC cable in a cable tray, you need to get from the tray to the equipment the cable serves. 12-2202(2) covers that by allowing its use in conduit where it isn't in the cable tray.

Other than that, I think you need to use different cable.
