Why can t the manufacturers of LV lights supply a proper direct burial connector? Those plastic things are horrible. I now solder my connections but the few jobs I did before I wised up are back to haunt me.

I pretty much abandoned LV lighting here. The only string I have left is in the trees and when it dies it won't be replaced. The rest were replaced over the years with THWN in pipe and 120v lighting. If I did decide to go low voltage I would just screw in 12v bulbs from an RV store and feed it with one of the Malibu transformers I have collected over the years.
