Did anyone have problems installing the CDR handbook?
When I try to run setup it runs for a second or two (hourglass) but nothing shows up on the screen.
(from autorun, starting from explorer as administrator or from the run line, same deal).
I tried to reboot, stopped everything I could, tried another CD drive ... no joy.
P4, XP Pro, gig of memory, plenty of disk space ... damifino.

I looked in task manager and I had several instances of setup running so it did start, it just never did anything.

I did a couple of searches and couldn't find anyone else reporting problems. Glad to hear you got it straightened out.

FWIW I've had similar things happen with McAfee.

Virus scanners tend to be viruses themselves.
I ran without one for years. I am just careful what I let load. This came with AOL and I haven't got mad enough at it to blow it away.
