Interesting - lets assume that as we dont have evidence to dispute it: 1) It was electrocution that killed both animals. 2) the incidents occurred in approximately the same location and due to the relatively rare nature of this type of event (especially in a place like Toronto) they are related.

The event requires 2 precursors: 1 there was(is?) contact between a live source and and the equipment and 2: The equipment was not grounded adequately.

Is this hard to detect - why the delay?
