In order to comply with 250.21(B), I need a ground detector. All I've found so far is one made by Cutler Hammer (way too expensive at about $2000) and a detector that uses lights (haven't priced it yet). I'd really like to have something with a set of relay contacts that I could hook to a bell or horn in order to get some attention when the first ground fault occurs.

System voltage will be 480 volts.

Anyone know of a product that will help me?

He wants a permanent ground detector that is built in. They are normally used and required on ungrounded systems to tell if a leg is accidentally shorted to ground.

JBD,

Thanks for the lead on the Erickson equipment, I'll have my supplier price one next week.
