Actually the receptacle is fine! Just turn the wall
"Outside - In" and that will solve the receptacle and the rusty panel problem, mind you the meter reader is going to have an issue. crazy

ah, the panel has my friend's favorite pet peeve circuit breaker, federal no-blows he calls them

That panel is a Zinsco/Sylvania, BUT... Zinsco did use FPE for anything above 225 amperes and/or 240 volts.

Too add to my post, if that panel was a FPE it would have been an improvement.
