Found this romex coming down from that conduit on the wall spliced to landscape wiring. Note the wire nuts in picture.

This cover plate (in use type for sure) was on the same wall of the house. Probably from the guy that brought us the romex splice trick.

Luckily they have a reliable Zinsco Panel that is sure to function in the event of an emergency.

Same here. I have to wonder why even the most ignorant or most uncaring HO doesn't ask, "Shouldn't that be covered or something?" Yeah, something. laugh

For safety's sake, shouldn't that be a GFCI?

if it was, they would have disabled it alredy so the lights would stop tripping it

The plate doesn't match the outlet. An electrical and decorating violation.

I've seen worse.... why do people always love SJT cord so much?

Gotta love that rusted out Sylvania-Zinsco panel.... really rounds out this lovely install. LOL.

That is normal for those, they did not use much in the way of rust resistant steel for the enclosures.

It saves money on material and creates higher profits.

Actually the receptacle is fine! Just turn the wall
"Outside - In" and that will solve the receptacle and the rusty panel problem, mind you the meter reader is going to have an issue. crazy

That panel is a Zinsco/Sylvania, BUT... Zinsco did use FPE for anything above 225 amperes and/or 240 volts.

Too add to my post, if that panel was a FPE it would have been an improvement.
