Took these at an apartment complex. I think the tree was a shrub when it was built. They did use treated lumber for the temporary supports. Unfortunately they didn't use it for the back board. Not a question of if it will fail, but when.

Did the siding fit close when it was installed? If so, then the wiring exiting the back of the enclosure is the support.

Oh boy! And I bet the owner is looking for a quick and cheap fix involving plumbers tape and some deck screws.

The 'quick & cheap fix'? This situation would result in a violation notice, an unsafe structure posting, and a call to the utility for an immediate disconnect at the source of power. That results in a 'quick fix', albeit not cheap, but more economical then a possible fire or injury, or worse.
