is there a chart for dc wire size or is it the same as ac?

Yes. Truth be known, the NEC tables are based upon some engineering data that was developed using DC.

Ampacity is the same, voltage drop is of course calculated differently (no power factor involved, only resistance, conductor length, cross section and current).
