What do you think of a recessed fixture in a shower stall, 277v compact fluorescent? This is in a hospital. I can't find anything in the code prohibiting it, if the trim is listed for damp locations. Good thing the emergency nurse call is nearby.

the trim and lens cover it should be listed for wet location.

The other thing you have to watchout is the connection of lighting circuit make sure you land it in proper circuit because many hopstails do have EM circuits

I dont think the voltage will be a issuse due using the CFL system there but if i rember the only place they can't use the 277v is right on patient bed area but i just dont have the number with me [ possible local code requirement as well ]

Merci , Marc
