At first I thought it was a SMPS power supply for delivering 12 volts DC to a cellphone recharger car adapter.
I'm not kidding. I actually have one like that.

That is what i thought too. So these are made already for American and European markets. Made in China ? 
The product of rotation, excitation and flux produces electricty.

Perhaps they should stick with designing tape dispensers, they do pretty good at that.
