When installing their systems, does one really need to use "their" wire as they say? On a different install by another contractor,it appeared that regular quad wire was used, yet M&S insists the system will not function properly without their wire.
Some of this is like the note on the box that says "Ore-ida potatoes are better with Heitz ketchup". (or even the label in a Square D panel that says use only SqD breakers)
On the other hand they can say their product was designed and tested with their parts so they can only anticipate a satisfactory result when you use them. You can bet your butt if a problem ever escalated to the factory rep he is going to blame the wire first, no matter what the problem really turns out to be. Once you rewire and they have to fix the real problem they will still be swearing up and down that the wire was part of the problem.
All that said, if the wire has the same signal propagation properties (and art725 properties) it should work fine. How much difference is there in price?
