I have a question about the title to a van. I just started my business and I am working part-time at night on weekends, as I still have to hold on to my full time job. My business is just a sole proprietor, I do carry a liability policy. I know ideally a LLC or INC would be better and I am heading that way, but I had to start somewhere. My question is do I put a new van in my name or in my company name? I do plan to change to a LLC later on, and I have heard pros and cons both ways, so what is your opinion, my name or company name? Thanks in advance for any info.

I am an INC.

Accountant told me long ago, to seperate business from personal stuff, including vehicles.

It keeps someone from suing you personally, if something bad happens.

Although you might need to talk to your accountant/insurance agent, some laws may vary from state to state.
