This is supposed to be the best week for viewing. Unfortunately Auckland is still covered in clouds with no sign of clearing yet. Forecast is rain for the weekend. Yak. 25°C 85%.
The product of rotation, excitation and flux produces electricty.
Gidday there Ray, We saw it here in Ashburton on Tuesday night. Was really clear to the naked eye. I went and saw an astronomer friend of mine and had a good look at it through a telescope. Nothing short of amazing!. Is it considered to be nature responsible if such a thing is out in space?. Lovely is all I can say.

Wow, Mike, you are really lucky to saw that. They say it was the most beautiful comet since several hundred years. It was hardly visible from here, cause it was near to the Sun and visible only at evening, on the horizon, which is in a city out of sight. I wanted to go up somewhere, but one evening I was at the dentist at that time, otherwise it would take two hours to clime up any hills in the neighborhood to see it... Still I feel sorry for not seeing that.
In the news I`ve read it few days before it appeared, but they said it will be nothing special, hardly visible, etc.
Well, well...
The world is full of beauty if the heart is full of love
Actually Gloria, This is the second comet I've seen. We got to see Halley's Comet here in 1986. Oddly enough, at the time that the comet was due to pass NZ, we had a huge flood in South Canterbury. What was it they said back in the Middle Ages about comets bringing widespread destruction?. As we all know, comets are the work of the Devil!.
