Guys,
I had this idea some years back that we could get together in a mutual place.
After Xmas has been and gone and we all have no money to spend, what would be the chances of at least the NZ Members of ECN meeting at say Christchurch?.
I would put a do on here, but the place is a mess.
Think BBQ, anyone outside of NZ is more than welcome to register.
Hate cold weather?, come down here, we won't disappoint. [Linked Image]

That sounds like a great idea. I am planning a trip to NZ in the New Year, although it could be later than just after Christmas. At least I could maybe meet one or two of you. I'd love a guided tour of your electrical systems.

Cool idea !
Need to work out a reasonable deal how to get there. Plain, Train (preferred, will take two days one way).

Auckland will be warmer, bear that in mind Mike.

I do some research pricewise, tickets to CHCH are dearer than going to Aussie.

Cheers Raymond

Even if we have it next door at the Fire Station, it makes no odds to me.
It's just that urban planning means that I have only so much room for a certain number of people.
Umm Ray, the only way you will get to Ashburton on a train is if you are packaged as goods these days.
The Southerner was canned about 3 years ago.
Only passenger train that runs in the South Island now is the Tranz-Link and that runs from Christchurch to Greymouth.

Trumpy I guess the days when we were teenagers and held get-togethers without a care for crowd capacity, or council by-laws, are gone. [Linked Image]

An ECN NZ members get-together is a great idea, and I look forward to it.

Ray, I could give you a lift from Ch Ch to Ash-vegas if that would help.

uksparx, if you could tell us your travel plans ( where and when) then that would help us plan it.

Yeah Gloria I don't think that airplanes pick up hitch-hikers though. Don't you live in Hungary ?
