I have always used solid copper for the GEC (residential). In this months Fine Homebuilding there is an article on services by Cliff Popejoy with photos showing a stranded copper GEC. I was curious what other guys prefer and why. Brian

In my own experience... The 3/0 Cu THWN I used as SE conductors in the last service I did ( Mission Impossible thread ...) was indeed labelled as sunlight resistant on the outer sleeve.
Answered my own Q! All I had to do was wake up and think about it!
