Thanks Guys for your input.

Bye the way Bill the quote that I received came from online email from figuerr@nationwide.com.

Apparently there is money in insurance sales, for Robert Figuers has contacted me twice on email and he obtained my phone number ? some how [Linked Image] and call me once to see if he could help me in any way.

He sounded very polite on my answering machine. Like I said we may be in the wrong business. Thus far his quote has been the best.

We all do our best in this field, however every now and then a screw will get loose and it happens. Its better to be covered.

Again I appreciate the input.

For a $1M Commercial general liability [occur] policy with a $1,000 deductable, we're paying $972 dang-old dollars!! [Linked Image]

We're not a high risk! never have filed any claims before!

Maybe they will wash my van for that $$!!??

Scott,
Maybe it's the area you are in or maybe you just need to shop around. When I first started, I got insured with the same company that had been my auto insurance since I was 16 and my homeowners since I bought my first house. They were charging me $850.00 for $300,000.00. I contacted an agent for Grange Mutual on the advice of another electrical contractor. He was able to raise my coverage to $1 mil for $275.00 a year.It was no cheaper for $300,000.00!When I called to cancel with my original company they said they could probably match the new quote. I told them the only way I would stay was if they would cover me for the next 3 years for what I had already paid. They didn't go for that. Needless to say, the Grange agent ended up with all my insurance business.

Today, I found a company that offered $1M per occurance and $2M aggregate for $275.

This is almost half of what I was paying before. I handed them cash.

Shop around!!
