Please could Old Appy or anyone else who wants to have input, please tell me if an out-building that is 25 metres from the supplying Switch-board, run in Neutral-screened 6mm2, 3core, do I need to have a driven Earth Stake, or can I make this a Distribution board and take out the N-E link?. Maybe just as easy to have a MEN board out there if you only have a NS cable out to it.

Thanks Craig,
Came in too late with this job, the cable had already been laid(not sure how deep!),
Meggered it and got 150Megohms between the NS
and all phases.(@1000V)
Will drive a stake.
Ever bent a stake in stony soil?, done it for the first time, last week, out at the local abbattiors, installing a 600A sub-main, the stake started to come up through the ground about 3 foot away from where I was driving it. [Linked Image]
