I usually put the fridge on its own 15 amp circuit.

If it's a crummy spec house it goes on one of the 2 20-amp counter circuits.

With most modern energy efficient fridges, a 15 amp circuit is way more than enough. A dedicated 20 amp circuit is asinine.
