Because I'll sure be the last one in the pool.

The owner had a guy replace the timer, and put in a new switch for the pool light. The MC in sealtite goes to a bootleg bathroom that the hack didn't complete.

HO says that the hack never mentioned any hazard regarding the pool, which has no bond wire to be found, no GFI for the light, and no ground wire in the conduit to the light.

Here's another one of his remodel projects at the same house.

Somehow or another he's got it tied to one of theses switches. This is knob and tube, with no ground.

And I'm mad as can be.

I'll be the rottener egg than you.
You'll be in the pool before me!. [Linked Image]
That's just down-right ludicrous.
Someone should be shot for that standard (if it can be called that) of work. [Linked Image]
In the first pic, is that some sort of an in-ground junction enclosure?.

That's a junction box especially for the pool light. A cord inside of a length of red brass pipe extends down to the wet niche fixture in the pool wall.
I don't know what the Code required at the time this was installed, but currently:
1. It must be 4" above the deck, or 8" above the maximum water level (whichever is higher). {This is not.}
2. It must be 4' or more from the edge of the pool. {This is not}.
3. The conduit must not contain any non-GFI protected wiring. {This does not even have GFI for the light, and there's another circuit running through it to a recp on a patio}.
4. As is obvious, the proper grounding path is non-existent on this mess.
