Looks like a double BX connector used for Romex. I like the way the ground wire is brought back under the connector to make a "good" ground. It also looks like this was cut out of the system and replaced with a correct connector.

Just noticed that it 3 conductor, not 2!! Hope he got the screw between the ground and neutral, even though it look to be between the ground and black!!!!
