I caught this on my recent trip to Disney World. This is inside "Mickey's House." Apparently he's doing some kitchen remodeling. I suppose that Disney has its own code enforcers on the payroll, since they have eminent domain for their property. Strange how this got by them.

There are some scary things at these places. The Git-r-dun mentality comes to mind....

I worked on a television system installation down there in 1989. All LV wiring but still had a lot of interaction with "RCID" Reedy Creek Improvement District", Disney's code department in Orlando.
When Walt moved in down there around 1969, there was no county juristiction in that area, afterall it was just swamps. So they formed this "district" and then legally seperated themselves from it.
These guys are tough! Have to be. Imagine if there's an accident and Disney controls code enforcement? The lawyers would have a field day. No, Disney has absolutly no say in code matters over RCID. If that "rig" is on public display you can bet that it's up to code, inspected and approved. My guess is those are 12v lamps. They do make Edison lamps in 12v.

Thinking back to having gone there as a kid, I think that 12 volt thing may have something to it. I remember a lamp in this house that was "plugged" in with a rope on a wood plug. It was probably fed from the bottom. The LV thing would make sense. Does anyone know the ampacity of 1/2" rope? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.electrical-contractor.net/ubb/smile.gif)
