Looks like your short 12". Thething I can't figure out is, why is he pipe comeing down in the middle of the room, and now up against the wall?

What's that funny looking loop in the pipe? Kinda reminds me of an FM transmitting antenna...

That funny loop is a meter "horn"... There is a section op pipe there that can come out and a water meter installed in its place.

What this picture really shows... is that there are many people in the construction industry who have no clue as to what they are doing. It is really sad to see this, it is almost a daily reminder!!!!

Probably a Pennsylvania builder! Usually the sump pump pit is right below the service entrance, too! Is that metal enclosed GEC bonded to the pipe?
