Are receptacles inside a garage required to be GFCI in Canada? No sinks involved.

I would like to answer this Question, but i would feel better if you filled out your profile as to what you do for work.

Whatever that has to do with the answer, I filled it in.

The short answer is no.

They used to be required years ago, all grade level garage and outdoor receptacles were to be connected to the same GFI.

edit : my statements pertain to Ontario code. Not sure about rest of Canada.
