I, however being NOT convinced, would like to see a comparison of statistics on which type of arc fault creates the most fires.

My guess is that 99% are caused bybroken single conductors, loose wirenuts and terminal screws- hence series arcs...

I will forever consider this to be a scam... a rather ingenious scam, but a scam none-the-less.
