Steve: Short & sweet, lug on motor to pool frame. IF any other pool equipment, continue #8 accordingly. Anything within zone over 4Sq in. has to be bonded.
IG pool is rebar, niche shell, cups, filter, heater etc.
Basically, if in doubt, bond it.
Do not go to a grd rod, panel, sub-panel, EGC etc.
NOTE: Be very careful if it's inground in areas that adopted 2005 regarding bonding around perimeter decking. I don't have Article handy now, but read!
