I've been thinking about a specific lighting control where a photosensor is used to turn the landscape lights on at dusk, then off at a specific time (with a timer). The only way I can figure out to do it is with the timer set to go on at a time before the sun ever sets (2pm), then the photosensor after the timer.

I see some companies have a photosensor plus timer (on in hours after sunset), but that would vary the time that the lights go off. Is this how they are usually set up?
