It sounds like to me from what I read about you that you'll do great, since you've been a system support specialist. Most of the formulas we use electrical work are provided in the NEC2002; you just have to supply the variables. I've gotten a lot of help on this forum with formula-related questions, so make sure you ask! I hope it goes well for you.
