I was thinking that some long time trip circuits actually try to factor in conductor heating and ambient temperature. I was also thinking that the distributed loads could be higher on hot days. Finally, I was thinking that you can't over think everything and might just need to go in and tighten every lug in sight. That's what it was the last time I visited a passenger station where the Reliable Main was nuisance tripping.
