RE the truck. My trucks stay at the shop except for rare occasions.
But are you doing service work or construction?
In other words...8 hrs all at one location or 4 locations and a supply house in 8 hrs.
In construction it would be typical for the employee to get to and from the site on their own.
In service work I can't imagine not having a company truck.
Unless I want to I don't buy my own power tools either.
