I had a lower ingunal hernia repaired (left side ) last year. Day surgery, about 3 or 4 days where I couldn't do much, and then another month to get back to normal. Went back to work after 4 days, light duty. A year later, I can still feel the inscion, and have to be careful not to stress it. Wasn't a complete fix, but it is much better than wearing a truss all the time.
