Reno - Much of what you said is true however, there is new information now regarding this topic that conficts with some of the information you are offering such as, multiple vermiculite sites have recently tested positive for asbestos! - It was confirmed that asbestos tainted vermiculite was distributed and installed in over 30 million US homes in 42 states!
