I understand that 0.75 sq. mm is the smallest size line cord used in Continental Europe.

We have 0.5 sq. mm in the U.K. as well, often found on bedside lamps and other very low power apppliances.

On the fuse sizes, all the old British standard ratings were pretty much round numbers: 5, 15, 20, 30, 60A etc., the main exception being the BS1362 fuses for our 13A plug, of course.

The odd sizes of 6, 16, 32, 63 and so on only appeared in coimparatively recent years with the adoption of European standards.
