I just found a site which shortens URLS, for example the url for this forum is https://www.electrical-contractor.net/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Non-US+Electrical+Systems+|AMP|+Trades&number=9&DaysPrune=1000&LastLogin=

The shortened URL is http://xrl.us/l9x Try it.
This is the site that gives a short urls http://www.metamark.net/

Anyway I thought it was pretty cool

Regards Graham

Dapo,

That is pretty cool.

I just wanted to mention that there are other URLs that would work here as well and be easier to remember:

www.Electrical-Contractor.net/Forum

www.Licensed-Electricians.net/Forum

www.Master-Electricians.net/Forum

www.Electrical-Code.net/Forum

(some other variations will also work ie without dash or with .com)

Some other sites that offer the same thing are www.tinyurl.com and www.makeashorterlink.com.

One very good thing about these services is that they solve the problem with long and strange URLs that are truncated or corrupted by ECN.
