I have a couple die cast covers around here but after a while in the weather they develop some corrosion in the joint, it binds and if you are not careful you snap off the pivot pin or rip out the socket. Trades are not going to be the most careful bunch of folks.

What ever would make you say that Greg? Add to that the fragile nature of the junk in-use covers and we end up with a crappy looking and inefficient weatherproff cover.
