you may want to derate

but the criterior , or definition as to 'bundling' lacks .....

I have always used 2 cables, stacked under a single staple. However, I have begun to use stackers when there are more than 2 cables. It looks better, and if you have to install cables side by side on a stud, you come too close to the edges.
