You might also want to check out the steel toe alternative, Kevlar. Some guys I know who do high voltage work don't care for steel toes but get along fine with the Kevlar substitute. A google search will yeild several outlets for Kevlar toe safety boots.
It is better to be thought of as a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.
