Why can't I pull up the photo with a guy, holding a drill motor, standing on a ladder, in the water? Has it been removed/relocated?

Yep, an aluminum ladder AND barefooted. Are those safety glasses he's wearing or maybe a blindfold?

Also add the fact that he is wet from the waist down. This photo has been the topic of many a discussion at work.

I printed this one out for our weekly safety meeting tomorrow. It should generate some discussion.

Now this would be a fine oportunity to use that floating receptacle made from a detergent bottle that Joe T. has a picture of.

OK, for education purposes, how would you have done this job to make it safe(r)?

1) Drain the pool first, then use a wooden ladder.

2) Use scaffolding?

3) Use a cordless drill.

I'd go with option #1 and add #3. Best comromise - Cheaper than a scaffolding but no danger of falling into the water.

God forbid that guy would slip off that ladder and land in the pool with his electric drill.

P.S.: What's with all the bottles of booze? Where was this picture shot? Looks like at some resort or hotel...
