I'm trying to hold on to Eudora, but it keeps giving me problems. One Day I can send email, the next I get an error message... not authorized.
I've tried many, many different settings and no luck. But then a day, week or more it suddenly works again.
Any Eudora alumni out there? Have you transitioned to Thunderbird? Is it similar?

I use AOL for my day to day and Agent 1.91 for my other accounts. Agent is very primitive but it is far less likely to send you malware since it is too dumb to open much, no scripts, and it prompts you before it opens HTML.

That Agent 1.91 is even older than my Eudora!! I like Eudora because I can see all my emails going back Years and Years and sort them into folders. Does any more modern email program let you do that?

AOL can sort my old mail by sender and some of it is a decade old. Thunderbird might do that too. I never used it. I have been AOL about 30 years

The other Feature I like about Eudora is that I can search through one or all folders for a keyword that appears anywhere in an email.

I suppose the first thing you need to figure out is if you have a problem with Endora, the OS or the ISP.

I have AOL and GMail for my personal email. Work uses Microsoft Exchange with Baracuda as the watchdog.
I've used AOL for about 25 years.

AOL is just easy. I go straight to the mail page when I click it and the new mail client is pretty good. I usually look at the news. For some reason I don't get a lot of spam and my address has been everywhere for 30 years. OTOH the address linked to my dog's Facebook account is always full.
