I am working on a 34 story high rise that has retail spaces on the first 2 floors, and apartments From 3 up to 32 and common space last 2 (ie swimming pool, gym). Does this fit the criteria of a multi family? We are using the exception for feeders as multi family instead of 310.15 table.

Thanks,
H20

Yes that is multifamily (more than 2).
What does the engineer say?
Maybe you need to be more specific about what you are doing.
Which table are you bypassing? (they are all 310.15. <sumpin> now).

I don't know about John but I start getting pretty skeptical when people know more than the tables say.

Ok, from the east coast side of the USA

A 34 story hi-rise REQUIRES plans and specifications from a NJ Licensed Architect, who in turn has or collaborates with a NJ licensed Electrical Engineer and submits the plans for code compliance to either the local or State for review and release.

The plans and specs are required to be followed, or revisions submitted. Revisions must follow the above requirements.

No offense meant, but you could not do anything without the required design licenses.
