As you probably know, during his acting career, Ronald Reagan hosted (from 1954-1962) the "General Electric Theater" TV program and served as the company's "Traveling Ambassador".

This commercial was filmed in the Reagans' Pacific Palisades home;

Note the sound of the GE remote-control relays operating when he turns on the fluorescent indirect lights at 0:45, the giant dimmer knobs (probably autotransformers) at 1:05, and Nancy demonstrating the remote-control master switch (the original home-automation system!) at 1:42.
