I picked up the PDF with a soft cover from NFPA a while back.

That is the draft ROP. You need to be aware that not every proposal made it to the final version. 440.9 for instance was dropped.

I have the 2014 book which has many errors. Errata is posted on the NFPA website. We are working under the 2014 code with revisions here in Massachusetts since January 1st...biggest moan and groan around here is all the AFCI protection added for dwellings. AFCI everything in the kitchen...DW, DP, ref, micro, even the oil burner if it is controlled by a device in the kitchen.

No news on the '14 adoption here in NJ as of yesterday.

Slightly off topic ....

My 2014 copy arrived. I have yet to look at it. I set it on the bookshelf.

My cats have since pushed the book off the shelf - several times.

The verdict is in: 2014 NEC rejected by cats.
